First Zoo Adventure!

MK took her first trip to the zoo at 9-1/2 months old. She had a great time and was most excited by the monkeys and giraffes - ironically those are the animals she has as toys. 

The most exciting part of the zoo was when we got to feed the giraffes!  The zoo staff let MK hold a branch to feed Jaleel, the only male giraffe at the Birmingham Zoo.  She was in awe of being so close to one of the zoo animals and was extremely surprised when his lanky black tongue reached out and grabbed the branch from her.  She wasn't too keen on feeding him the other branches, but she watched as mommy fed him and held her close by.
