Thanks to Pinterest, I decided to try making my own seasonings to try and eliminate some extra sodium and other unnecessary chemicals (MSG, etc). The recipe I pulled this from looked a little spicy for me and my fam (we are weinies when it comes to spice), so here's my version:
4 tablespoons of chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon dried oregano
2 teaspoons paprika
2 tablespoons ground cumin
3 teaspoons sea salt
4 teaspoons black pepper
I didn't include cayenne pepper because I didn't have any. I probably would have put in 1/4 what it called for. Regardless, the chili was the BEST I had EVER MADE.
